Harbour City Doulas is searching for birth and postpartum doulas that are passionate about supporting growing families through birth and early parenthood and that are committed to providing genuinely inclusive and unbiased support and education. Our team is built on a foundation of non-judgemental and client-centred support. This means that we support all birth and parenting choices, no matter what.

Two of the most common barriers to a career as a doula are the difficulties of starting and maintaining a business, and the challenges of living an on-call lifestyle. When you become a Harbour City Doulas team member, you can avoid these road blocks and benefit from joining an established doula practice with a team model that will allow you to maintain a work/life balance and avoid the all-too-common “doula burnout”.

• are inclusive of all families, birth plans, choices, and decisions. Harbour City Doulas do not promote or encourage any specific philosophy, birth outcome, or parenting decisions; they are able to be entirely supportive and present for any and all scenarios;
• live between Ladysmith, BC and Qualicum, BC, and have their own transportation to travel within these distances for appointments and births;
• have a flexible schedule with a solid support system for last-minute appointments and/or birth support
